Workers United members negotiate strong collective agreements, many of which include comprehensive family health and welfare benefit plans and pension plans. Not only are benefits important to members, but also to the health of their families. When tough economic times hit, many employers cut benefits and pensions of Canadian workers. But workers with unions have been able to hold on to their benefits and pensions, as employers are bound by legally binding collective agreements and cannot simply take away these safeguards.
Do you have questions about your benefits or pension? Reference your union contract, speak to your local union steward or contact us!
